Who knew
The sky held such a vast array of blues,
Until you cut open my universe
And took out all the hues?

Who knew
My heart held so much trust,
Until you emptied out my chest
And filled the cavity with dust?

You knew.
I should have known it too.
That you kept track all along ,
To whom everything belonged.

Now I know too.
Cos I’d been thinking this whole time,
In words like ‘us’ and ‘ours’,
Now reduced to merely ‘mine’.
